Air Moorea 2007 crash remembered

15:18 pm on 10 August 2012

A ceremony has been held in French Polynesia to remember the 20 people who died in the Air Moorea crash five years ago.

The Twin Otter fell into the sea after take-off from Moorea for a short flight to Tahiti, killing all onboard.

An organisation of the victims' families has decried that nobody has been held accountable for the crash despite an inquiry finding that the airline had major dysfunctional procedures.

Tahiti Infos has been told that some of those in charge have either retired or have found work elsewhere.
