The Wellington Phoenix football captain Andrew Durante has agreed a new three-year contract.
Durante, who has been in the capital for four years, says other clubs have shown interest and there's been a tempting offer but the Phoenix was always his first choice.
He says coach Ricki Herbert's decision to committ to another four years at the club was also an influence on his decision.
