Police in Western Australia have dropped charges against a 12-year-old boy accused of receiving a stolen chocolate frog, in a case that caused outrage among Aborigines.
The ABC reports the boy pleaded not guilty to the charge in a Children's Court in the town of Northam on Monday.
Police alleged he received the 70 cent Freddo Frog from a friend who had stolen it from a supermarket.
The Aboriginal Legal Service described the case as trivial and said it showed police were targeting Aboriginal youths.
