A teenager has reportedly been shot dead in the capital of Papua New Guinea's Enga Province after the looting of a shop on Monday.
EM TV reported that families of the deceased male student are blaming the police and the defence force for shooting their son.
Enga provincial police commander, George Kakas, said police would respond to the accusations after receiving the results of a post mortem.
The death was not linked to election-related fighting between supporters of rival candidates for Enga's Kandep seat, which Mr Kakas said had caused at least twenty deaths in Wabag since last month.
