Collective action will help fix water woes, say environmentalists

Many mayors and councils are gearing up for a fight over the government's Three Waters reforms, while environmentalists are preparing to meet them on the riverbanks of the country's polluted rivers.

The eight-week consultation period for local government ends this week and at some point councils will have to opt in or out.
