16:32 pm on 9 July 2014

Some 101 measles cases have now been confirmed in Hamilton as an outbreak continues to spread.

The Waikato District Health Board said on Wednesday that all cases involve people aged 20 or younger. All but four were not fully vaccinated against the disease.

Students at Maeroa Intermediate who aren't fully vaccinated have been quarantined at home until Friday.

Similar quarantines in place at Hamilton Boys' High School and Frankton Primary School were lifted during the weekend.

Waikato Medical Officer of Health Dr Anita Bell has warned anyone travelling during the school holidays to make sure they are fully immunised.
