A person has been found dead after a house fire in Pukekohe, police say.
Emergency services were called to the property in Victoria Street around 6pm.
Police said one person had been found deceased at the location.
Initial inquiries in conjunction with Fire and Emergency (FENZ) were underway to determine both the cause of the fire and the cause of the person's death, police said.
FENZ said a fire investigator had been on site today and would likely return tomorrow.
