Firefighters spent an hour battling a blaze at the site, on the corner of Tory and Haining Street, last night.

Windows are blackened and burnt wooden debris can be seen outside.

Emergency tape ropes off the back of the building, while the scene smells of burnt metal.

A fire communications spokesperson said at the fire's peak, seven appliances, two ladder trucks, and three support vehicles were deployed.

There are no reports of injuries.

The Bible Society said the fire did not damage the floor they were on but they had sent staff to work at home.

The society understands the fire was at a ground level occupant's business.
