Police are investigating the death of a woman in Tokoroa on Wednesday afternoon at a house in Clyde Street.
A number of people were there at the time of her death.
The property is cordoned off pending a forensic examination.
A post-mortem examination is to be carried out on Thursday.
One man has been arrested for an unrelated matter.
