The Hurricanes coach Colin Cooper believes the expansion of Super 14 rugby and the impending change of the season structure is a common sense move and everyone should benefit from it.
From 2011 the Super 15 will be run from February to August, followed by the tri-Nations with All Blacks not playing in the Air New Zealand.
The NZRU hosts the provinces in a 2-day meeting starting today to finalise the format of the Air New Zealand Cup.
Cooper, who is also a Junior All Blacks coach, believes the players will benefit most from the new season format..... as they'll have a clear format for the season, either playing Super rugby and tests or Super rugby and NPC.
