Nelson police are appealing for sightings of a man who reportedly tried to entice a primary school girl into his car yesterday.

Police say the 10-year-old was approached by a man in a black 4-wheel-drive, near the intersection of Toru Street and Aranui Road in Mapua, just after 4.30pm yesterday.
The girl refused to get in the car and made it home safe.
He's described as being in his 40's, thin, with curly red hair and pale skin.
Police say the vehicle has a spare wheel on the back and bull bars with spotlights on the front.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
