A man is in hospital in a critical condition after a fight in the Auckland suburb of Ellerslie.

Police were called to Amy Street at about 6.50am this morning and a person was arrested at the scene.
Meanwhile, police said four people were injured in a single-car crash near Te Kūiti.
Emergency services were called to the crash on State Highway 4 at about 7am this morning.
Police said one occupant was in a serious condition, the other three were moderate.
They were transported to Waikato and Te Kūiti hospitals.
