Woman hit by petrol tanker still in serious condition

A pedestrian knocked down by a petrol tanker in Dunedin on Friday morning remains in a serious condition in hospital.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was at the intersection of Frederick and Castle streets when she was struck by the tanker.

She suffered critical injuries and is in the intensive care unit at Dunedin Hospital.

The serious crash unit is investigating.
