Heavy rain hits Auckland, warnings for top of South

MetService has upgraded a number of heavy rain watches to warning level at the top of the North and South islands.

MetService meteorologist Lewis Ferris said there was a moderate to high chance the warnings would be upgraded to the most severe status, red.
