Two men have been charged after a five-hour stand-off at Auckland's Ferry Building on Quay Street yesterday.
Police said they were alerted to the incident about 12.15pm on Friday, and one of the two could be seen high up on top of the building through the afternoon.
Areas were cordoned off nearby, but ferry sailings were able to go ahead.
After a nearly five-hour stand-off, police said the men came down without incident by 5pm Friday.
Both men were charged with being in a building unlawfully, police said.
A 21-year-old man was remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man was bailed and scheduled to appear at Auckland District Court on Monday.
The incident unfolded a day after a shooting in which three people died at a nearby construction site in downtown Auckland, and the opening match of the football Women's World Cup was held at Eden Park.
