A person is seriously injured following a crash on State Highway 60 in the Tasman District.
Police say the two-vehicle crash at Bronte near Mapua was reported shortly before 5pm.
SH60 is closed near the intersection of Bronte Road, and diversions are in place.
Six other people have also suffered minor injuries.
Multiple other incidents today have closed roads.
The holiday road toll is at 11 people dead.
