The Ferrari motor racing driver, Felipe Massa, has edged Formula One title rival, McLaren's Lewis Hamilton for pole position at the European Grand Prix in Valencia.
Massa's world champion team mate Kimi Raikkonen has qualified in fourth place behind Poland's Robert Kubica in a BMW Sauber.
