Black Caps fly out to World Cup

The New Zealand cricketers fly out for the World Cup with high expectations but little recent success to build their confidence.

The Black Caps lost the recent one day series to Pakistan and have won just two one day matches in their last 16.

They have had injury concerns but it appears their batting lineup at least is settled after the Pakistan series.

Batsman Ross Taylor, who captained the side in Saturday's win at Eden Park, says hopefully that result will set them up for their run into the World Cup.

He says it's been a tough six months but to finish on a good note is satisfying and is hoping to take that momentum into India.

New Zealand has two warmup games against Ireland and India before their opening match of the tournament against Kenya on Sunday week.
