Marijuana retailers in Colarado say business has been booming since a law change came into effect on January the 1st allowing the sale of pot to anyone over the age of 21.
The New York Times reports hundreds of tourists and residents across Colorado eagerly took part in the country’s first-ever sales of state-regulated recreational marijuana. “To supporters, it was a watershed moment in the country’s tangled relationship with the drug. They said it was akin to the end of Prohibition, albeit with joints being passed instead of Champagne being uncorked.”
