Tanna by-election to be held in Vanuatu

The constituency of Tanna in Vanuatu is set to hold a by-election following a declaration of the Supreme Court on Friday that the elected MP, Judah Issac must vacate his seat.

Radio Vanuatu reports that the former Independent MP and his campaign team were found guilty of bribery charges under the People's Representation Act.

Chief Election Compiler at the Electoral Office, Tom Alick Kalo confirmed his office has begun preparations for a by-election on Tanna and a date will be announced shortly.
