Police have named the man whose death is at the centre of a homicide investigation in Horowhenua.

The body of 56-year old Robert Nattie Albert was found in a building at Muaūpoko Park, near Lake Horowhenua, on 17 October.

Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Thompson said police were analysing CCTV footage from surrounding areas to determine the movements of vehicles and people.

Police had spoken to people who were in the Lake Horowhenua area around that time, but would like to hear from anyone else who was near the lake on 16 and 17 October.

A funeral service for Albert had been held at Ngāti Huia marae.
