Covid-19: German infections reach new high, ICUs could reach capacity within weeks

Europe is being hit by what's being called a "fourth wave" of the pandemic - despite a successful rollout of vaccines.

Germany recorded last week record-high numbers of infections, close to 40,000 twenty-four hours.

It's highly likely Germany's intensive care units could reach capacity in as little as four to five weeks.

Berlin correspondent Thomas Sparrow spoke to Guyon Espiner.
