FBC News reported the former SODELPA MP Mosese Bulitavu and the United Freedom Party president Jagath Karunaratne were refused bail pending their appeal.

They were sentenced on Monday to jail terms of nearly two and a half years each for graffiti, spray painted at various places in Suva and Nausori in 2011.

FBC News reported Bulitavu's lawyer Lynda Tabuya saying they planned to appeal against both the convictions and the sentences.
