Laneway festival organisers have announced a compromise for Lorde fans who are no longer able to see her at the Auckland festival due to her multiple Grammy nominations.
The Grammy's are on the January 26 in Los Angeles, and Laneway's on the 27th, which means Lorde won't be able to make it back in time.
So in lieu of her playing at the festival, a special stand-alone performance will be held at Silo Park on January 29 which will be free for everyone who has a Laneway ticket.
In other festival news, Katchafire and Kora have pulled out of the La De Da festival in Martinborough on New Year's eve and are now threating to take festival directors to court. No statement has yet been provided.
