The New Zealand men's hockey side is staying in Perth until further notice following the terrorist threats to teams taking part in the World Cup in India.
Hockey New Zealand says it still plans for the Black Sticks to go to Delhi but chief executive Hillary Poole says the safety of the players, coaches and team management is paramount and it makes sense to further assess the situation.
She says Hockey New Zealand has been receiving security advice from the government and working closely with hockey's world governing body, the FIH, as well as other sporting bodies such as New Zealand Cricket and the Cricket Players Association.
The team was scheduled to leave for India on Monday after playing Australia in a two test series which starts tonight.
