The Salvation Army expects the housing crisis to worsen in the next year.

The social welfare charity has written a post-election briefing to the Housing Minister Megan Woods, citing low interest rates, population growth, a stalled private rental market and not enough new houses as drivers of the crisis.

It wants the Government to do more to address the issue.

The Salvation Army's Social Housing Director, Greg Foster, spoke to Māni Dunlop.
