A man was killed in the South Auckland suburb of Manurewa last night, and police are treating the case as a homicide.

Emergency services were called to Jellicoe Park shortly after 11pm last night, after attempts to revive an unresponsive man had proved unsuccessful, police said.
Acting Detective Inspector Warrick Adkin said that while no arrests have been made, the public is not at risk.
