Police have confirmed they've received two formal complaints in relation to bullying allegations against Deputy Commissioner Wally Haumaha.
An inquiry into the appointment of Mr Haumaha] is currently underway and being led by QC Mary Scholtens.
The inquiry was sparked when it emerged Mr Haumaha made comments in 2004, defending police officers accused of raping Louise Nicholas in the 1990s.
Police are already investigating claims that Mr Haumaha had contacted a witness to a bullying incident, alleged to have happened while staff from three government agencies were working on a project Mr Haumaha was involved in.
The complaints have been referred to the Independent Police Conduct Authority.
