The Australian Mick Fanning has won the world surfing title.
Fanning produced a spectacular ride in the dying minutes of his quarter-final to secure the 2013 title at the Pipe Masters in Hawaii.
Fanning becomes just the fifth man to claim three world titles, following in the footsteps of Kelly Slater, Tom Curren, Andy Irons and Australian Mark Richards.
Slater won the Pipe Masters title for the 7th time.
