Bougainville's John Momis seeking medical care overseas

The President of the autonomous region of Bougainville has been forced to take up to two months sick leave, just weeks after receiving medical care in the Philippines.

John Momis has gone back to the Philippines for more treatment and then plans to take time to recover before returning to lead the region through its referendum on independence from Papua New Guinea in October.

Acting president in his absence is Raymond Masono.
