Some Aucklanders are worried political pressure from the impending election will force the Government to lower the alert level for the city before it's ready.

It comes as Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) confirms a person later diagnosed as having Covid-19 had visited a number of locations in the community before knowing they had the virus.

The locations include Les Mills gym in Takapuna, Countdown Milford and The Warehouse Milford.

Cabinet will meet on Monday to discuss alert levels with Auckland at 2.5 while the rest of the country is at two.

Hamish Cardwell has been checking out the mood in the country's largest city.
