Second American Samoa electrocution victims dies

A second man has died in American Samoa after being electrocuted at the weekend.

Saito Paulo, who was in his late 20s, died in the Intensive Care Unit of the LBJ Hospital early this morning.

He was one of the Manu'a Store employees who were electrocuted when a crane touched overhead power lines while lifting beams at a construction site at the Industrial Park Tafuna.

Paulo has left behind a two-year old son, his wife and an unborn child.

Another man Iosefa Elia died on the day of the accident.

Two more men were injured.

A brief church service was held at the hospital chapel this morning packed by families of both the deceased.
