Men were seen leaving the property after Ms Tolley was killed.
Police said a silver Mazda 6 and a silver Nissan Stagea had been tracked using CCTV from Stokes Valley to the Upper Hutt area that night.
Police asked anyone who could provide information about the cars, or Ms Tolley's killing, to get in touch.
They had earlier to the owners of a white ute and a car seen in the area.
Footwear and a beanie were also found at the scene.
