A fishing-boat crew member was taken to hospital in Southland today, four days after suffering serious injuries at sea.
Fire and Emergency says staff helped St John lift the patient off the boat in Bluff Harbour this morning.
Talley's has confirmed the crew member was working on the Amaltal Explorer when they were injured on Wednesday.
The boat was south of Bluff at the time of the incident, it said.
The crew member was now in a stable condition in hospital and it was investigating the incident, Talley's said.
