French Polynesia's health authorities say the number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 1469.

75 cases were recorded in the past two days and more than 1400 since the beginning of August after the borders were reopened and mandatory quarantine was abolished to boost tourism.
The government projected the peak of the wave won't be reached until January, raising concern for the health system's ability to cope with the pandemic later this year.
Earlier the French High Commissioner, Dominique Sorain, said up to 60 intensive care units were available at the Tahiti hospital out of a total of 200 beds.
There are currently 18 people in hospital, including five in intensive care.
Five people have died of from the coronavirus this month.
The authorities said there are 227 active cases, with most of them in Tahiti but also some in Moorea, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Tubuai.
In the first Covid-19 wave from March to June, 62 cases were recorded.
