The blog, Caledosphere, said the criminal court has ordered the two men to each pay its editor, Franck Theriaux, $US1400.

The two lodged a defamation claim after the blog reported that they were at a scene of a fatal assault two years ago.

Caledosphere said in its ten years of existence it has won all defamation cases brought against it mainly by senior government members.
