UN observer leaves Bougainville

The leader of the United Nations observer mission in the Papua New Guinea province of Bougainville is today leaving the province.

Tor Stenbock and his team completed their deployment at the end of June, ending the UN's mandate of more than seven years.

A farewell was held for Mr Stenbock in Buka last night.
