One person has died after a train collided with a car in South Wairarapa.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Western Lake Road at Speedys Road about 2pm.
The person who died was the sole occupant of the car, police said.
Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
Police remain at the scene investigating.
Metlink says the 3.38pm train service from Masterton to Wellington is replaced by a bus.
