West Tigers came from beind to beat Canberra 34-26 in last night's National Rugby league match in Sydney.
The Tigers' Kiwi cult hero Taniela Tuiaki scored a double, touching down in the 12th and 60th minutes, while Canberra were kept scoreless in the second half.
The hulking winger was given a standing ovation after a brilliant 30m try in the 60th minute which Benji Marshall converted from the sidelines to give the Tigers a 28-26 lead they never relinquished.
Tuiaki said he'd been motivated for a big season after he was left out of last year's World Cup-winning squad for lack of effort.
