The Rugby Players' Association will continue with its own investigation into allegations Chiefs players mistreated a stripper, despite police saying they will not take action.
Waikato police have spoken with the woman, known as Scarlette, who said some players repeatedly groped her, threw gravel and chanted lewdly at an end-of-season function last week.
Based on the discussions, which included consideration of her wishes, police said they would not be taking the matter further.
Rugby Players' Association chief executive Rob Nichol told Morning Report its investigations will continue with the Rugby Union.
He said it was important they understood exactly what took place.
"And if we need to make alterations or take on learnings moving forward then we want to understand how we go about doing that to ensure we don't have a repeat of this type of situation."

Mr Nichol said players and other relevant people were being interviewed.
