The owners of a building site where a security guard was killed on his first night at work, have donated money to the man's family.
Charanpreet Dhaliwal, 22, was killed after a few hours working at the site in Auckland in November 2011.
No one has been convicted over his death.
Family spokesperson Jasjit Singh said Fulton Hogan, the owners of the construction site, have made the donation in recognition of the deep loss Mr Dhaliwal's family have been through, and it's a sign of goodwill and compassion.
Mr Singh says the family, which is now back in India, acknowledge the donation and believe it will help to relieve their financial burden.
