A rider has died following a crash involving their motorbike and a car in Ōpotiki this evening.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Bridge Street and Goring Street just before 6pm.
The rider was critically injured and medical attention was provided, but the person died at the scene.
The intersection will be closed while a scene examination takes place.
