Man arrested more than two months after escaping from Corrections custody

A man who escaped from Corrections custody at the end of June has been found.

Police said in a statement that Te Ariki Poulgrain was arrested at an address in Ōtara today.

The 23-year-old escaped on 30 June while at a medical appointment in central Auckland.

Police said they had since made a "number of enquiries" to locate him.

He faces a charge of escaping custody and is expected to appear in Auckland District Court via AVL on Monday.
