A year 11 school student in Edgecumbe says she's worried about how the recent floods and school closures will affect her grades.
Edgecumbe College is reopening tomorrow and Nethia Richards said she was looking forward to returning.
She said she did not know whether she would have more time to complete assignments that were due last term.
"It's very frustrating because I don't know what's going on. I want to get back to normality and, you know, doing my school work and handing in my assignments."
The school's principal, Luow Olivier, said he would be talking to education officials about what could be done for students who had lost NCEA work.
Edgecumbe Primary, which is located on the same grounds as Edgecumbe College, will also be reopening tomorrow.
The two schools have a combined roll of about 500 students and the Ministry of Education is sending trauma experts into Edgecumbe to counsel staff and students affected by the floods.
