07:58 am on 22 December 2014

A steelworker has been charged with the murder of a South Auckland man at a 21st birthday party, Radio New Zealand reports.

The body of 24-year-old Chevy Midas Davis, was found in the driveway of an Otara house in the early hours of yesterday morning.

His 28-year-old cousin was also injured, in what the police say was a fight over music.

Detective Inspector Lynch said a knife or a sharp object was used, but it had not yet been found.

He said police could not rule out the possibility of further charges or arrests.
