A man has appeared in a Christchurch court on a firearms charge and threatening to kill someone.
One person was taken to hospital with moderate injuries and an Addington school was put into lockdown during what police have described as a family harm matter on Tuesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old man was arrested in Spreydon on Wednesday morning.
He was remanded in custody following his court appearance on Wednesday afternoon, and is due to reappear next month.
