The country's biggest rainbow festival, Big Gay Out, has been postponed due to flood damage at the venue.
It was meant to take place this Saturday.
Organisers said Coyle Park in Auckland's Point Chevalier was currently unsafe to use and the council needed more time to repair damage, particularly with more bad weather forecast this weekend.
Brunet Foundation chief executive Joe Rich said up to 15,000 people were expected at the event and the health and safety of the community was its top priority.
The festival will now be held on Sunday, 12 March.
On social media, organisers said there may be some changes to the line-up, and they were working with performers to consider details.
People who had already purchased tickets for the Big Gay Bus could still use their ticket on the new date.
Those that were unable to attend on the new date could get in contact to arrange a ticket refund.
"Thank you for understanding, we can't wait to party with you next month," they said.
Big Gay Out was cancelled in 2022 because of Covid-19.
