Papua New Guinea police have arrested two Chinese men for allegedly illegally selling beer in Port Moresby.
A complaint from a wholesale business in the national capital led police to discover the sale of beer with fake South Pacific Brewery branding.
According to police, the company was concerned it had been named by SP Brewery in a newspaper advertisement as a distributor of the fake beer.
The two suspects, who are from China's Fujian province, and have surrendered their passports and work permits to police.
Additional charges are also expected to be laid under the PNG Customs Act.
