The re-elected chairman of the Independent Maori Statutory Board says getting acceptance from the wider council has been important in its first three years.
In 2010, the board was set up to work with the Auckland Council on developing Maori interests.
The board has voted to re-elect David Taipari as chairman.
He says creating a Maori Plan for the next 30 years, as well as conducting a Treaty audit were the main achievements.
