Two people have been arrested after early morning police raids in West Auckland that uncovered a hidden meth lab.
Four properties in Henderson, Ranui and Massey were targeted on Wednesday as part of Operation Cobalt.
The lab, linked to the Head Hunters gang, was found on Edmonton Road, Henderson.
"Packaged methamphetamine was also located which would have gone on to be sold and distributed amongst the community," said Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Raymond Sunkel.
"A large amount of cash was also found and is still being processed."
A 54-year-old with Head Hunters links was arrested and faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession for supply of methamphetamine and possession of equipment for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
In nearby Massey, police searched two properties, finding more meth-making equipment and a small amount of drug GBL. On Huruhuru Road they arrested a woman for breach of bail.
"Meanwhile, we also located a loaded pistol and a stolen vehicle in Ranui," said Sunkel.
More arrests have not been ruled out.
"Police are continuing to keep the pressure on gang members and their associates by targeting and disrupting illegal activity they may be involved in as part of Operation Cobalt," Sunkel said.
Earlier on Wednesday, police said they had arrested nine people linked to a Hawke's Bay drug ring, seizing cannabis, cocaine and MDMA.
